From page one, The Defenders of Naturion, is a wonderful fantasy adventure that captivates its reader with wonderfully written characters and a plot that reminds you (of) the kind of adventures that we don’t get (to) join in on everyday.  This is a wonderful book for children to read, but it’s also an adventure that adults will enjoy.  I think it is truly one that anyone who enjoyed reading such great fantasy adventures as The Black Cauldron or even the Harry Potter books, will find themselves swept away with the action of this book.  A must read for any fantasy enthusiast.

I enjoyed reading this book.  It has a good mix of fantasy and reality, with interesting and likeable characters that people can relate to.  The serious parts, like the death/divorce of the characters' parents, contrast well with the adventurious and humerous situations and characters.  (I loved Pebbolia, and laughed out loud during her scenes!) I also appreciated the themes of the protection of the natural world, and the struggle to save the animal shelter.  An interesting, fast-paced story for anyone who enjoys fantasy and nature.

***** five stars!

I love fairies, so this book was one that I was ready to read. I was very pleased with the book. Cheryl did a wonderful job writing and illustrating this story. If you haven't yet read it, I highly recommend this book. I truly look forward to the sequel.....

Posted by a reader: " I found this story to be very fun and whimsical. There are a ton of great life lessons just below the surface that are terrific for children"

I would like to note that this person also commented on the errors in the book. Ones that I am completely aware of. Errors that the publisher would not allow me to correct right away. I have since the first run, re-submitted the book to them for editing. Most of the problems have been corrected.

I feel your story is a wonderful adventure story for young readers. I was very impressed with your ability to tell this tale and create a world of fantasy to go with our own world we live in. It was a very fast paced title that kept me going to the end. I feel kids of ages 8 and up would appreciate reading this book.

Your characters are fun and exciting and it's great to see new fantasy for kids.

I would compare your title with Spiderwick Chronicles and the Land of Elyon series. Very Fun, I hope you continue your stories, I'd love to read more.

Review of Defenders of Naturion by Cheryl L. Zemke

Defenders of Naturion by Cheryl L. Zemke is an exciting fantasy, perfect for capturing the attention and imaginations of young readers. Cheryl demonstrates terrific storytelling ability, combining fantasy with real life situations. Each character jumps off the page, coming to life with every word. This story shows the true importance of preserving nature’s beauty and showing compassion for all living things.

Defenders of Naturion had me hooked from page one to the very end. I give it a fantastic five stars*****.
